OBJECTIVES
- Assistance for the development of projects of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI-PDA).
- To help CE project promoters to develop their projects.
- Gather the technical, economic and legal expertise necessary to develop circular economy investment projects.
- To lead to the actual implementation of investments during the project.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- Delivery of innovative financing schemes that are operational and ready to finance circular economy investments at local and regional level;
- Delivery of a series of sustainable circular economy projects and innovative financing solutions/schemes at local and regional scale across Europe;
- Demonstration of innovative and replicable investment financing solutions, documenting feedback and uptake by potential replicators.
BUDGET
- Coordination and support action.
- 36 months duration.
- Budget 2 M€.
- The EU contribution per proposal should not exceed 10% of the respective investment.
- For a grant of 2 M€, it is necessary that the project generates an investment of about 18 M€.
Assistance to the development of the CCRI project will aim to organize the circular economy ecosystem of Aragon to support the development of circular projects:
Engaging all stakeholders to create enabling governance
Develop new innovative business models
Align all financing actors along the entrepreneurial financing value chain (startup funds, business angels, venture capital, development capital).
Demonstrating the environmental, social and economic impact of investments

Leverage the region's success and lessons learned to facilitate replication in other European regions
