Professional Career
He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Research Sufficiency from the University of Zaragoza, and completed his residency in Veterinary Pathology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, being a candidate for the examination of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists. He completed his research training working at the University of Liege (Belgium) and at the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands). He has also spent time in the animal pathology and phenotyping laboratories at John Hopkins University (USA). In the last 10 years, he has participated in several research projects in different specialities (vaccine development, virology, oncology and study of pathogens) and diseases (African swine fever, classical swine fever, Rift Valley fever, Bluetongue, PRRS, swine circovirosis, rotavirus and many more).
