On 6 December, the European Commission adopted the new Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024. There are significant funding opportunities for circular economy related research and innovation projects under Cluster 4, ‘Digital, Industry and Space’, and Cluster 6, ‘Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment’.
Cluster 6 is particularly relevant for CCRI stakeholders as it covers integrated circular solutions at territorial and sectoral levels for important material flows and product value chains. These include textiles, electronics, chemicals, packaging, tourism, plastics and construction as well as key bioeconomy sectors.
The 2023 Cluster 6 circular economy calls for proposals will open on 22 December 2022 and will close on 28 March 2023. More information is available on the Funding and Tenders Portal.
The Commission has also launched a public consultation to allow stakeholders to share their views on the performance of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe as well as future priorities for Horizon Europe’s Strategic Plan 2025-2027. The consultation is open until 23 February 2023. Share your views here.
